The Chateau La Tour Blanche 2010 is a First Classifed Growth of Sauternes that allows our nose to experience aromas of vanilla and flowers. On the palate, there is even more splendour with the 2010 vintage. With a frank attack, the wine is bold without being opulent, full, unctuous and fluid. The finish ends with elegance and finesse, which confirms this as a great Sauternes. It can be drunk now or it has the potential to age until 2030.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
The La Tour Blanche 2010 has an outstanding bouquet with beautifully defined aromas of dried honey, peach skin, melted wax and butterscotch - linear, taut, and focused in keeping with the vintage. The palate is beautifully proportioned with that thread of acidity interwoven through the botrytized fruit. This is a Sauternes with volume and dimension and yet I am seeking more persistency on the finish, because it feels like the job is done too early. This is a good wine that dare I say, could have been even better with more ambition.
