At Chateau La Tour de Bessan, the harvest started on September 22 and ended on October 10th in excellent climatic conditions: a sumptuous Indian summer occurred. According to Marie-Laure Lurton, the proprietor: " 2014 is the ultimate vintage year full of promises: ripped fruits, elegance, fleshy tannins, a good finish. It sounds like the right note!” Although the late Cabernet Sauvignon were great, the property made the clever choice by putting a majority of Merlot in the blend. Indeed, the wine is 54% Merlot against 46% Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a floral Margaux, expressive on red berry, seductive with a refreshing sappy structure and a serious wine density on the palate.
