A red wine perfectly coated with tannins from Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The Château Montlandrie is a wine from a 15-hectare vineyard in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. The blend of the wine is 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.

At tasting, the wine offers an intensely strong red colour with violet reflections. On the nose, the wine exudes red and black fruit aromas (blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry). On the palate, the Château Montlandrie 2012 offers a wine with subtle oaky notes and present tannins that give a perfectly coated mouthfeel. With lovely sensations, this wine can be enjoyed from 2016.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
From the famous Pomerol producer and owner of L'Eglise Clinet, Denis Durantou has turned out a Castillon made from a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Typical of his wines, the terrific purity, texture and overall equilibrium are flawless. Deep ruby/purple-tinged, with sweet black cherry, plum and black currant fruit, the wine has vivid purity, good acidity and ripe tannin. It is medium-bodied, opulent and best drunk over the next 5-7 years.
