Description
An expressive white wine of Pessac-Léognan by Château Olivier
The estate
Château Olivier is an estate classified for both its Red and White wines in Pessac-Léognan. Close to Bordeaux, in the town of Léognan, this unique wine estate has been renowned for its wines since the Middle Ages.
The vineyard
This classified growth of Pessac-Léognan has an 8-hectare vineyard dedicated to the Château Olivier white wine. For this 2019 vintage, the harvest of the Bordeaux dry white started on August 29 and ended on September 12.
The vintage
The winter was not very rainy and quite mild, leading to an early budding. A wet and cool spring followed, slowing down the bud burst. Flowering took place between May 24 and May 30. The small grapes were concentrated in sugar.
The blend
Sauvignon blanc (80%), sémillon (20%).
The tasting
Tasted as a wine future, the Château Olivier Blanc 2019 brilliantly expresses the typicity of each grape variety through a wine with a beautiful vibrant acidity and energy on the palate.
