The Nobleness and Elegance of an Exceptional Margaux
Reigning for 350 years over one of the most beautiful terroirs of Margaux, Château Rauzan Ségla is unanimously recognised as one of the greatest Crus of the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region.
With its true mosaic of terroirs, the vineyard of this Chanel Group property enjoys a privileged location in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde estuary, which allows it to benefit from a unique combination of clay-limestone soils, deep gravel and fine gravel. The richesse of this exceptional terroir lends a nobleness and class like none other to the wines of Rauzan-Ségla, which stand out with a certain depth and wisdom gained over the years.
Product of an atypical vintage full of contrasts, Château Rauzan Ségla 2017 (62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36 % Merlot and 2 % Petit Verdot) is among the most beautiful wines of Margaux.
Delicate notes of summer fruit evoke the fresh and sweet strawberry, supple figs and dried fruits deliciously spiced with cinnamon sticks, then evolving scents of dried rose petals and tobacco... Complex, and sophisticated, the aromatic bouquet reveals an absolute grace. Tender and noble, the palate delivers a caressing and velvety texture, guided by an accurate and straightforward structure. The pace of the wine continues into a persistent and seemingly endless finish. Truly a great Margaux.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Rauzan-Ségla rocks up with vibrant notions of cherry pie, warm cassis, blackberry preserves and red roses with hints of cinnamon stick and cloves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is completely filled with wonderfully pure red and black fruits, framed by firm, very ripe, fine-grained tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy. Yum! The blend is 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot.
