Description
An expressive and fine high-end rosé
An upscale cuvee by Château Sainte Roseline, Classified Growth of 1955, the Château Sainte Roseline 2017 rose is produced in limited quantities, after a selection of the best parcels according to very strict production criteria.
Produced in AOC Côtes de Provence, the Château Sainte Roseline 2017 from Château Sainte Roseline illustrates the diversity and typical character of the clay-limestone terroirs of Provence through a carefully assembled blend of Tibouren (26 %), Cinsault (23 %), Mourvèdre (18 %), Grenache (16 %), Syrah (10 %) and Rolle (7 %).
The Château Sainte Roseline 2017 is a testament to the care taken in the production of this wine, from vine to bottle. From the plowing of the soil, to the planting of grasses between vine rows to preserve the diversity of fauna and flora, nothing is left to chance. The vines are constantly monitored, with bud and bunch trimming in more vigorous areas to ensure optimal exposure to sunshine. Depending on the grape variety, the harvest takes place from the end of August to the end of September, at night, in order to preserve the aromatic freshness of the berries.
The vinification is carried out with parcel-by-parcel fermentation, variety by variety. Once the alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wines are cooled in order to block malolactic fermentation and proceed to maturation on lees with stirring. The very specific blend ensures an unparalleled richness and complexity in this high-end rosé.
In the glass, the Château Sainte Roseline 2017 presents a delicate, pale pink dress. The nose seduces with expressive and delicate notes of red fruits and exotic fruits, enhanced with spice and a freshness from citrus. On the palate, the wine reveals a round texture, perfectly balanced out by a beautiful acidity. A refined rosé of great finesse and expressiveness, with a potential to age up to 3 years.
