Description
The typicity and elegance of a Pomerol red wine
The property
Located in the heart of Pomerol, the Clos L’Église was recognized as one of the most extensive vineyards during the 18th century. Purchased in 1997 by Sylviane Garcin Cathiard, sister of Daniel Cathiard, owner of Smith Haut-Lafitte, the property is now under the direction of Hélène Garcin Cathiard and Patrice Lévêque.
The vineyard
Clos l’Église 2022 is a Pomerol wine from a 4.37 hectare vineyard planted on a clay-gravel soil.
Vinification and aging
The grapes are hand-picked and vinified in stainless steel tanks. The aging process lasts 18 to 24 months in new French oak barrels.
Blend
This Clos l’Église 2022 is a blend of merlot (70%) and cabernet franc (30%).
