Coteaux Varois en Provence

Coteaux Varois en Provence image

Coteaux Varois en Provence is an appellation in the Provence wine region. It covers a total area of 2,500 hectares, and is divided into 28 communes around Brignoles. The vines are planted between 600 and 1,000 metres above sea level on clay-limestone soils mixed with gravel and flint. The area enjoys continental-influenced climate due to the various rock formations that surround the area, which prevent influences from the Mediterranean Sea. The Coteaux Varois en Provence produces mainly rosé wines, along with reds and whites. These wines have character with fruity aromas and lightness.
