The Cuvée du General, Jean-Charles Abbatucci 2012 - produced since 2006 - belongs to the range of the Cuvées Collection (and of exception) of this great Corsican Estate. In this wine can be understood all the philosophy and the policy led by Jean-Charles Abbatucci, according to an ethic enhancing the specific expression of each historical grape variety. The Biancone, Carcajolo Bianco, Paga Debbiti, Riminese, Rossola Brandinca and Vermentino thus play together in this great aromatic orchestration. Its robe is pale yellow tinged with green. At first on the nose, one would immediately understand the sublime dimension - in style - of this white nectar. White fruits, citrus fragrances and slight butter hints are displayed with clarity and power, the wole providing a feeling of a great mineral freshness. This freshness also appears consistently on the palate - thus bringing straightforwardness and length to the wine - and while holding back a certain volume it confirms the richness, complexity and balance of this wine, which production only counts 1,500 bottles. A beautiful sapidity and a tremendous display of style!
