Description
The richness and balance of a white Burgundy wine
The estate
Officially founded in 2021 after several years of research, Domaine Mont Bessay lies on the border between Beaujolais and Burgundy. At the helm of this estate of around seven hectares are Philippe Pascal and oenologist Guillaume Marko. Driven by an uncompromising commitment to quality, the current owners immediately converted the estate to organic and biodynamic farming. Drawing on its dual identity, the estate stands out for its determination to express its terroirs with precision, combining granite and limestone influences.
The vineyard
This French white wine comes from plots located in the southern part of the wine region. The vines thrive on clay-limestone soils, a terroir particularly well suited to producing wines of the Saint-Véran appellation. True to the estate's environmental philosophy, this vineyard is farmed entirely according to organic and biodynamic principles.
Vinification and ageing
In keeping with the estate's patient approach, the Saint-Véran Village "En Réfort" 2024 undergoes extended ageing. This meticulous maturation allows the wine to develop fully before it is released onto the market.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
