The Fixin appellation extends over 100 hectares shared between the Brochon and Fixin communes in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. It has 6 climats that are classified as Premier Crus. The vines are planted on calcareous brown soils with an alternating limestone and marl layers. Fixin’s red Pinot Noir wines reveal fruit and floral aromas that are combined with more spicy and animal notes. They present a remarkable structure and can be aged to soften their tannins. In addition to the reds, the Fixin appellation also produces white wines from Chardonnay.
