2006 Pauillac, Second Wine from Chateau Grand Puy-Lacoste, Bordeaux.
The Chateau Grand Puy-Lacoste vineyard is located on the Pauillac terroir. The vines are harmoniously planted around the chateau, over 58 hectares. The 2006 Lacoste-Borie is the estate Second Wine, produced from young vines; it is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc.
The wine displays a beautiful dark colour. The nose offers a bouquet composed of a large palette of red berry, vanilla and spices notes. The 2006 Lacoste-Borie reveals a generous palate that reveals well-aged and elegant tannins, enhanced by a good complexity and a good balance. This rich and round wine is pleasant.
