Mâcon-Pierreclos wines are produced under the Mâcon Village appellation within only the Pierreclos commune. Mâcon-Pierreclos produces white, red and rosé wines. Located between 245 and 745 meters above sea level, the vineyards enjoy diverse terroirs, with clay-limestone soil, loamy soil and sandy soil on a granite subsoil. The wines of the Mâcon-Pierreclos appellation combine fruit richness, freshness and suppleness. White wines sometimes even reveal subtle mineral notes. The reds of the Mâcon-Pierreclos appellation offer aromas of red fruit and show roundness on the palate while revealing tasty spicy touches.
