Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of the Roero Arneis 2025 Mauro Molino

Tasting

Colour
The colour reveals a bright pale yellow with straw-coloured hues.

Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with delicate floral notes reminiscent of chamomile and white flowers, harmoniously underscored by a mineral backbone. Touches of white-fleshed fruit and almond round out this olfactory palette.

Palate
Beautifully intense, the palate seduces with its freshness and easy-drinking profile. Medium-bodied, it offers a slightly rounded texture, supported by moderate acidity. The lively and aromatic finish reveals subtle notes of hazelnut and almond.

Food and wine pairing
Highly versatile, this white wine pairs perfectly with aperitifs, fish tartare or grilled vegetables. It will also enhance a seafood risotto, light poultry dishes or fresh cheeses such as mozzarella.

Service and storage
Ready to enjoy now for its youthful character, this Roero Arneis 2025 can also be cellared and enjoyed until around 2031.

Other characteristics
This wine has a moderate alcohol content of around 13.5%.

The elegance and mineral freshness of a white wine from Piedmont

The estate
The story of the estate began in 1953, when Giuseppe Molino acquired land in La Morra, in the heart of Piedmont. In 1982, his son launched the first vintage under the name Mauro Molino. Today, the estate spans around twenty hectares split between the Langhe and Roero areas. It is currently led by Mauro Molino, supported by his children Matteo, who oversees technical direction, and Martina, who is in charge of business development. The family stands out for its environmentally respectful approach and its constant pursuit of an authentic expression of its terroirs.

The vineyard
The grapes used to produce this Roero Arneis come from vines averaging 13 to 15 years of age. South-east facing, they thrive on the slopes of the Roero, characterised by predominantly sandy soils rich in minerals from ancient marine deposits. This terroir benefits from a Mediterranean climate offering warm days and cool nights, ideal conditions for preserving the liveliness of the grapes.

Winemaking and aging
To preserve the full aromatic purity of the fruit, the grapes for the Roero Arneis 2025 are harvested early, at the beginning of September. Alcoholic fermentation takes place exclusively in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for six months in these same tanks, with no oak contact, ensuring the brightness and freshness of the vintage.

Grape variety
100% Arneis.
