Decanter

Textural, almost blanc de noirs in feel, with yellow stone fruit, citrus and spice. Silky and elegant.

Full bottle 1,341 g. Clear-glass bottle. 80% Grenache, 10% Cinsault, 5% Syrah, 5% Rolle. Certified sustainable (HVE). Super-pale shell pink. Faint scent of grapefruit, of strawberry, almost more blossom than fruit. Satin and satsuma and stone. Mouth-watering stoniness and acidity that reminds me of sucking on the chalky citric fruit of baobab. Seamless satin texture. Real finesse here. Long and elegant; understated right up to the line of being mute, but very firmly staying on the right side of the line. White pepper on the finish. (TC)

Description

Characteristics and tasting notes for Château Minuty "Rose et Or" 2025

Tasting

Colour
Remarkably luminous, the wine reveals a pale, almost crystalline pink hue with subtle salmon highlights.

Nose
The nose displays remarkable aromatic intensity, revealing notes of white fruits such as peach and pear, accompanied by citrus nuances, particularly pink grapefruit and orange zest. Touches of exotic fruit, evoking passion fruit and lychee, blend with delicate floral scents of white blossom and jasmine.

Palate
On the palate, the Château Minuty "Rose et Or" 2025 charms with its vibrant freshness and crisp acidity. Pronounced minerality, reflecting the schist-based soils, comes through in impressions of stone and limestone. Salinity brings a characteristic maritime dimension, while the elegant, spherical texture offers a lovely roundness without heaviness. The finish lingers with citrus notes and a refreshing saline minerality.

Food and wine pairing
This rosé from Provence pairs beautifully with seafood and shellfish, particularly oysters, langoustines and scallops. It also matches wonderfully with grilled Mediterranean fish, such as sea bass or sea bream. Spiced cuisines, whether Indian dishes with curry and coconut or Asian dishes such as pad thai and Vietnamese specialities, also make for excellent pairings. White meats, poultry, cured meats and fresh goat's cheese round out this gastronomic palette harmoniously.

Service and storage
Château Minuty "Rose et Or" 2025 is best enjoyed at a temperature between 8 and 10°C. It is recommended to drink it within two years of the vintage to fully appreciate its aromatic freshness.

An emblematic Provence rosé, a world reference for elegance and freshness

The estate
Founded in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet, Château Minuty today spans around 170 hectares of vineyards located on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, in Gassin. Classified among the twenty-three Crus Classés of Côtes de Provence since 1955, the estate is currently run by Jean-Étienne and François Matton, representing the third generation of the family. Since 2023, the estate has belonged to Moët Hennessy, while the Matton family has retained operational management. A pioneer of luxury rosé, the estate exports to more than a hundred countries. It has practised sustainable viticulture without herbicides since its creation and holds High Environmental Value certification.

The vineyard
The vineyard of Château Minuty "Rose et Or" 2025 lies mainly on the slopes of Gassin, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, on limestone-schist soils. These plots benefit from an optimal exposure and the influence of the Mediterranean sea, bringing characteristic freshness and salinity. The soils are made up of three main types: schist, predominant and responsible for minerality, clay-limestone for balance, and sandy soils for aromatic precision. The vines benefit from sea breezes that naturally regulate temperatures and limit disease. The entire vineyard is farmed using sustainable viticulture, with exclusively hand-harvested grapes allowing for rigorous selection at optimal ripeness.

The vintage
The 2025 vintage of Château Minuty "Rose et Or" reflects the climatic conditions of Provence, characterised by the Mediterranean influence tempered by sea breezes from the Saint-Tropez peninsula. The grapes were harvested at moderate ripeness levels, favouring freshness and natural acidity over concentration, in line with the estate's philosophy.

Winemaking and aging
The winemaking of Château Minuty "Rose et Or" 2025 relies on cold-pressing techniques and selective juice extraction, limiting skin contact to achieve this characteristic pale colour. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures, around 14°C, in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve primary aromas and freshness. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided to maintain the wine's natural vibrancy. Aging takes place in tank, and bottling is carried out in stages throughout the year to ensure consistent freshness.

Grape varieties
Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle.
