The estate
Built during the reign of Napoleon III, Château Minuty was purchased in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet who undertook to restore its former splendour. Thus, in 1955, the property entered the small circle of the 23 Classified Growths among the wines of Côtes de Provence. Then, the property crossed paths with Monique and Etienne Matton who, through their dedicated work, greatly contributed to establishing Château Minuty's reputation on the finest tables of the French Riviera. Today, brothers Jean-Etienne and François Matton are honourably carrying on the legacy while infusing the estate with a modern spirit.
The vineyard
The 160 hectares of vineyards of Château Minuty cover the Saint-Tropez peninsula. On the slopes of Gassin and Ramatuelle, this Provence vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate. The sea breezes from the coast help to preserve the health of the grapes throughout the year. The soils vary between shale and limestone, allowing the different grape varieties of the house to be grown where they thrive best.
The wine
The "M" cuvée is a Côtes de Provence wine from vines grown using sustainable viticulture and cared for in a preserved environment with a rich ecosystem.
Since 2018, Minuty has adorned the limited edition of this cuvée each year with a label imagined through the sensory prism of a different artist. This 2023 edition was created by Henriette Arcelin, a French illustrator and ceramist. The artist reveals a monochromatic illustration inspired by the colours of the village of Gassin, where the estate is located.
