The property
Established in Puligny-Montrachet since 1635, the Domaine Olivier Leflaive has perpetuated the tradition of great Burgundy wines by offering one of the most beautiful expressions of chardonnay in the world. At the head of a must-see domain in Burgundy, Olivier Leflaive has established himself as an emblematic character of the Côte de Beaune. Patiently built up, Olivier Leflaive's vineyard now extends over 17 hectares of vines located on the greatest terroirs of Burgundy.
The vineyard
This Pernand-Vergelesses Village comes from a selection of vineyards located on the terroirs of Frétille, Sous les Cloux, les Courbettes and Les Pins. Averaging 36 years old, the vines rest on clay-limestone soils.
Vinification and ageing
Manual harvesting followed by pressing in whole and crushed grapes (50% of each). Ageing for 12 months (including 5 months en masse) in barrels (including 18% new).
Blend
Chardonnay (100%).
