The essence of Barbados: the Mount Gay distillery

Located on the paradise island of Barbados, the Mount Gay distillery is the result of a rich history that dates back to 1703. Considered one of the oldest rum distilleries in the world, Mount Gay fervently cultivates an ancestral tradition, making each of its cuvées a true gustatory journey. Spread over hectares of fertile land, it benefits from a tropical climate that gives its rums an unparalleled uniqueness.

A limited edition from an exclusive blend

To create this sixth edition of the Master Blender Collection, Trudiann Branker, made an exclusive blend of old stocks of Charentais still rum and column still rum, signed Mount Gay. Then, ageing in old American whisky barrels for 20 years in Barbados, accentuated by tropical conditions, gives this Barbados rum aromas of burnt oak and toasted vanilla. Subsequently, to further develop the complexity, the ageing is carried out for a year in old Sherry casks (Spanish fortified wine) signed Pedro Ximenez, developing delicious flavours of stewed fruit, black cherry, plum and walnut on tasting.
