Covering 14 hectares in one piece, the Vieux Château Certan vineyard is planted in fertile soils. The team pays careful attention to the cultivation of the estate's vines, which produce wines recognised for their aromatic finesse and elegance.
A very rainy winter was followed by a warm spring, favouring early and even flowering. These conditions, combined with the hot and dry summer, slowed down the vigour of the vineyard and resulted in an early harvest with lower yields than the last vintages.
The wine displays a deep and beautiful purple colour.
The nose presents delicious aromas of ripe fruit.
The palate is seductive, showing a perfect balance between freshness and concentration, a guarantee of great ageing potential. Dense and racy, the Merlot is delicious and shows intense and rich aromas. The concentrated Cabernet Franc grapes lend the blend complexity, smoothness and length on the palate.
