The estate

Renowned oenologist, Xavier Vignon has built an international reputation by putting his expertise at the service of more than 200 wine estates, contributing to the creation of the greatest crus of the Rhône Valley, notably in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In 2002, he launched his own cuvées under the "Xavier" signature, meticulously selecting the best juices from various plots. Freed from the constraints related to terroirs and grape varieties, Xavier Vignon creates wines in his image: accessible, modern and offering excellent value for money. It is in this spirit that the 100% Xavier collection was born.

The wine

Resulting from a rigorous selection of old vines rooted in soils mixing limestone pebbles and marls, this Cairanne wine signed Xavier Vignon seduces with its depth, intensity and elegance.

Vinification and aging

The berries, harvested at full maturity, undergo a long cold maceration accompanied by sustained punch-downs. Extractions are deliberately interrupted at the beginning of fermentation to preserve all the purity of the fruit. Aging exclusively in concrete tanks allows to keep intact the aromatic freshness conferred by the altitude of the plots.

Blend

The Cairanne 2022 from Xavier Vignon is the result of a harmonious blend of grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, cinsault and marselan.
