A generous terroir, mirror of Veneto

The authentic expression of Veneto is found in the Bertani vineyards. Extending over nearly 200 hectares, they are bathed in a climate softened by the proximity of Lake Garda and Lake Iseo. The clay-limestone soils and the diversity of exposures provide local grape varieties such as Corvina and Rondinella with ideal conditions in which to thrive.

This Bertani ON gift set from Bertani brings together three landmark vintages from the estate's history of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico:

2005 :  A luminous summer, lightly cooled by the September rains, gave birth to a wine of remarkable complexity. On the nose, notes of cognac, cinnamon and rose petals; on the palate, a spicy richness and almond aromas wrapped in tannins that are still present yet perfectly balanced. The aromatic depth and the vibrancy of the fruit make this an exceptional vintage.

1975 : Benefiting from a dry, sunny September, this vintage reveals an elegant, finely chiselled character. The herbaceous, resinous nose mingles with subtle chocolate notes, while the palate offers remarkable freshness, a chalky texture and fine concentration. Soft red fruits on the retronasal finish complete a harmonious, light ensemble.

1967 : Born of an exceptionally hot summer, this vintage reveals a deep, contemplative personality. The fleshy, wild nose gives way to a soft, velvety palate with autumnal accents of rare melancholy. A long aromatic persistence, carried by a finish that is still lively, bears witness to a surprising vitality for its age.
