Description
The Château de Beaucastel is famous for its elegance, its balance and its ageing potential. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2009 benefits from an extraordinary terroir in the North of the appellation. It is a blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah, 10% Counoise and 5% Cinsault and it is aged in oak barrels for one year. The 2009 vintage of Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape has an almost black colour. On the nose, one can detect a great aromatic finesse dominated by notes of red berries ( blackcurrant, blackberry), spices, thyme and lavender. There is a nice balance between acidity, generosity and fine tannins. It is a robust and serious wine.
