2012 Sauternes 2e Cru Classe, Bordeaux.
The 2012 Sauternes Chateau de Myrat was produced from a family property, a vineyard of 22 hectares planted on the beautiful stony terroir in Haut-Barsac. This vintage from Chateau de Myrat is 88% Sémillon, 8% Sauvignon and 4% Muscadelle.
This Sauternes 2e Cru Classe is a smooth, spicy and expressive wine on ginger, saffron, apricot, mango, orange and orange peels notes. A harmonious concentration is developed on the palate with good unctuousness as well as an airy and frank finish. The 2012 Chateau de Myrat reveals a particularly successful balance for a delicate vintage; it is the result of a precise and skilfully led harvest.
