Far exceeds the high en primeur expectations: it has depth and extract, yet also tremendous balance; finesse, length, top-class tannins—one of the year’s no-brainers!

Delivers plum and blackberry compote flavors that are forward and rich in feel, with licorice root and alder accents adding some contrast through the finish. Features a subtle savory echo at the very end. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Malbec. Drink now through 2032. 7,500 cases made, 400 cases imported.

Sweet cherry and violets on the nose. Lovely smooth texture with fruit that has great precision and mouth watering acidity - strawberry, red cherries and redcurrants. It's fresh and fruity with a texture that just gently grips and holds interest. I like this and the long finish too. Just the barest hint of freshly picked mint leaves on the finish adding a cooling element to the final impression.

Very beautiful aromas of redcurrants and ripe plums with bark and moss, following through to a medium to full body with firm, creamy tannins and hints of salt and fresh herbs. So attractive now, but much better in 2025 and onwards.

The 2019 Château de Pressac has an intense bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and light cedar aromas, touches of mint coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit and quite edgy, showing a cheeky touch of Earl Grey toward the finish. It needs time but has the substance to age well in bottle.

Energetic, fresh, silky and refined, the wine blends sweet red fruits, espresso, touches of cocoa, licorice, flowers and a refined, medium-bodied character. Everything is in place to offer close to 2 decades of elegant drinking. Drink from 2023-2035.

Dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a subtle ochre rim brightening. Black forest berries with tobacco and spices on the nose, as well as dark cherries, a hint of leather, figs and candied orange zest. Juicy and complex on the palate with a core of fine plum fruit allied to well-integrated tannins. It's sweet and persistent, with good length and a salty finish. Secure development potential.

Dense and dark red with a purple hue. Youthful but balanced aromas with fine oak and toast underneath, herbal notes of sage, fresh herbs but no greenness on the taste, savoury dark fruit notes like cassis, black cherry with fresh tobacco leaf. Dense and concentrated with fine proportions and layers, exemplary tannin with a fresh bite underneath, fine persistency and overall balance.

I loved the 2019 Château De Pressac from barrel, and it showed nicely from bottle, with a charming, nicely balanced, elegant profile that still brings plenty of fruit. Black cherries, blackberries, spicy oak, and dried herbs all define the nose, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, has ripe yet present tannins, and outstanding length. It already offers pleasure, but I'd give bottles just a handful of years in the cellar, and it's going to evolve for 15 years or more.

Can still improve further.

Broad shouldered but precise, this is an attractive vintage at Pressac that has held its momentum and drive over ageing. Firm tannins still, with plenty of blueberry and blackberry fruit, a black pepper lick through the finish. 65% new oak. A yield of 40hl/ha, with the unusual characteristic of featuring all five main Bordeaux red varieties in the blend. Tasted twice.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 de Pressac sashays out with flamboyant Morello cherries, mulberries, and blueberry preserves, plus star anise and menthol wafts. Medium to full-bodied, the mouth is coated with juicy black fruits and a firm frame of rounded tannins, finishing with compelling freshness.

The juicy, vibrant character of the 2019 marks yet another step forward in the wine’s qualitative and stylistic evolution. This precision shapes the tannins, supported by a perfect chewiness and a delicate extraction of Merlot fruit, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and even Carmenère and Malbec. The whole is a juicy, very pleasurable fruity and floral concentrate.

What a wealth of complexity and depth in this bouquet, which unfolds with delicate nuance. It expresses its terroir beautifully through chalky notes, while also highlighting the distinctive character of the different grape varieties that make it up. It reveals aromas of violets and dark berries, followed by a touch of menthol. On the palate, the wine is elegant, with precise tannins that gradually emerge and provide a fine backbone across the whole palate. A succulent, well-balanced, vibrant wine.

A deeply colored wine with a very aromatic nose, fruity and creamy, and a smooth, caressing palate, especially fruity and melt-in-the-mouth. The finish is long, very good, and finely supported by the oak.
