Produced in the Pomerol appellation with vines averaging 30 years of age, Château de Sales benefits from a rich terroir that has gravel soils with iron oxide. The vineyard covers 47.5 hectares and has Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon vines.
The Château de Sales 1996 shows a beautiful ruby colour. The nose reveals ripe cherry, earth and roasted nut fragrances. The finish is dry. Best to drink now.
