A fruit-forward and structured Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion

A Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion, the Château Grand-Pontet 2018 offers the experience of a great red wine from the right bank of Bordeaux in an exceptional vintage.

Located on a plateau to the west coast of Saint-Émilion, the Grand Cru Classé Château Grand-Pontet watches over a 14-hectare vineyard, spread over great limestone, clay-limestone and sandy-clay soils. The estate is dominated by Merlot (70%), supplemented by Cabernet Franc (17.5%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7.5%) and Malbec (5%). The wine is aged in oak barrels (90% new wood).

At the tasting, the Château Grand-Pontet 2018 offers a complex aromatic bouquet, with notes of ripe black fruits, cherry, fresh cedar and dried herbs. The gourmet palate reveals tasty notes of black fruits and nicely textured tannins.
