The sensuality and class of an iconic Graves Classified Growth

As an iconic Graves Classified Growth, Château Haut-Bailly is one of those estates with unparalleled style that appeals to the greatest lovers of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, in the south of the Bordeaux region.

With a unique class and flawless purity, the wines of Château Haut-Bailly are among the greastest top-ranked wines that can elegantly evolve over the decades

Coming from a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (62%), complemented by Merlot (36%) and Cabernet Franc (2%), the Château Haut-Bailly 2010 brilliantly took up the challenge to become just as good as the exceptional 2009 vintage.

As a year with favourable climatic conditions throughout the growing season, the 2010 vintqge has all the qualities of an exceptional vintage because of the meticulous work done in the vineyard and perfected winemaking techniques.

The nose offers intense fresh black fruit and pepper notes. The Château Haut-Bailly 2010 demonstrates the precise nature of extraction to preserve the ripe fruit and in turn to give the wine finesse and silky tannins. On the palate, the velvety mouthfeel extends until the very end, which shows the sensuality of the great wines of Graves and is so characteristic of the Haut-Bailly style. This is a magnificent wine of great class that is in line with the greatest vintages of Bordeaux.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2010 Haut Bailly has consistently been a fantastic wine, and at seven years of age I have no reason to alter that view. It has a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, wet stone, black olive and a light marine influence. It is still backward compared to other vintages, but it has not relinquished one iota of its intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This is a voluminous Haut Bailly, one that is beginning to stretch its muscles, with a gentle grip in the mouth with a wonderful saline finish. There is huge potential locked into this wine, but patience is needed. Tasted March 2017.
