Description
The complexity and refinement of a Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé
The estate
Château Larcis Ducasse has existed since the 17th century. Preservation, revelation of the terroir and care for the vines are the watchwords of this estate, which was elevated to the rank of Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé in 2012 thanks to the work of Nicolas Thienpont, who took over the reins of the estate in 2002.
The vineyard
Château Larcis Ducasse 2022 is a Saint-Émilion wine made from 11.15 hectares of vines. The vines are an average of 35 years old and are planted on a veritable mosaic of clay-limestone terroirs on asteriated limestone, as well as clay-limestone and clay-limestone colluvial soils.
Winemaking and ageing
Vatting for 25 to 28 days. Ageing for 16 to 18 months in barrels (of which 50% new and 50% one wine).
Blend
Château Larcis Ducasse 2022 is a blend of Merlot (86%) and Cabernet Franc (14%).
