2012 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Chateau Laroze vineyard is located at the bottom of Saint-Emilion hill and village. The estate acquired in 1882, surrounds the castle and stretches over 27 hectares. The 2012 vintage is 66% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2012 growing season proved more favorable to Merlot as great Cabernets required a beautiful late-season. This Grand Cru from Saint-Emilion lacks strength. The medium-bodied wine is vibrant and smooth, and carries pleasantly fresh aromas. The finish is sweet and long.
