Situated in Saint-Christoly du Médoc on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, Château Les Grands Chênes has quite a rich history. The vineyards of the estate were planted around a fortress dating back to the 16th century. This Médoc wine region benefitted greatly from its proximity to the port of Saint-Christoly du Médoc, from which they shipped their wines, enjoying a great commercial boom.
Owned by Bernard Magrez, the Château Les Grands Chênes estate expands over 46 hectares of vines planted on soils of Garonne gravel. The vines are 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is produced under the expert advice of famous French winemaking consultant Michel Rolland.
Made from a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, the Château Les Grands Chênes 2018 offers in every sip the experience of a great red wine of the Médoc, graced with the signature style of Bernard Magrez.
