Description
Both Lynch-Moussas and Lynch-Bages estates in Pauillac were owned in the 18th century by the Lynch family, originally from Ireland. The property was then bought by the Casteja family in early 20th century. Emile Casteja acquired the 57 hectared (141 acres) estate in 1970 -he bought his brothers out. Since 2001, Casteja's son, Philippe Casteja, has since been managing the notable left bank vineyard of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Lynch-Moussas is a member of the Union des Grands Crus.
