Description
A red grand vin by Bernard Magrez
A red grand vin from the right bank of Bordeaux, the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Château Magrez Fombrauge 2018 is made from a blend of Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%).
Owned by businessman Bernard Magrez, Château Magrez Fombrauge is located on a historic site in the Saint-Émilion appellation, in Saint-Hippolyte. The 1.96-hectare vineyard is situated on a former archaeological site, from which a 2,500-year-old skeleton was once excavated.
For the 2018 vintage, the grape harvest at Château Magrez Fombrauge took place on October 3rd. Once the grapes were harvested manually, the berries were sorted by hand by a qualified team of 20. The Château Magrez Fombrauge 2018 was matured for 18 months in new barrels and terracotta jars.
