After a memorable 2009, we hoped for the 2010 Pontet-Canet to be as great as the previous one. Robert Parker did not make a mistake by giving this 5. classified growth 100 points. This Pauillac is the result of an organic and biodynamic viticulture. This purple, almost black-tinted red coloured wine is ripe and generous on the nose,  with floral and fruity notes. It could be one of the best wines produced on the estate, among the more than three hundred vintages that carried the name Chateau Pontet-Canet.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Pontet-Canet is a little tired on the nose, giving up notes of balsamic, roasted nuts and fallen leaves over a core of raisin cake, spice box and unsmoked cigars. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is a little flat and chewy with a racy backbone and a stewed tea finish. I'm not sure this was the best bottle of this wine, so I will give it the benefit of a doubt with a question mark.
