The Chateau Ramafort vineyard, located in the Médoc appellation, stretches over 33.5 hectares of 30 years old wines on average. In this 2000, Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon have the same proportions.
This garnet wine reveals a strong nose that gives off blackcurrant, plum notes enhanced by mineral and spices hints. On the palate, the 2000 Chateau Ramafort offers some frankness and precision whereas the structure is firm and gives a wonderful length and certain strength to the wine. The tannins are well-integrated and reveal complex aromas.
