The aromatic expression and finesse of a great red wine from Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup
The estate
Nestled in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup wine region, the Clos Marie was born in 1995 under the impetus of Françoise Julien and her husband, the winemaker Christophe Peyrus.
The name of the estate pays tribute to Françoise's grandmother, affectionately nicknamed Marie, who cultivated a few hectares of vines for the local cooperative.
Taking over the reins of this family business, the couple undertakes extensive rehabilitation work with the ambition of revealing all the richness and complexity of the Languedoc terroirs through characterful cuvées. Today, the estate extends over about 22 hectares of carefully maintained vines.
The vineyard
The L’Olivette cuvée draws its identity from an old olive field transformed into a vineyard, in the heart of the Pic Saint Loup. This unique terroir gives the wine a strong personality and a beautiful depth.
The blend
L’Olivette 2022 is a cuvée made from a subtle blend of syrah, grenache and cinsault, offering a beautiful balance between power, freshness and elegance.
