A wine made from a blend of three different terroirs, the Domaine des Tourettes White Hermitage 2014 is one of the emblematic wines of Maison Delas Frères, an important reference in the Northern Rhône Valley. Produced only in very limited quantities, this wine offers a unique and intense expression which can only be achieved by the great whites of the Hermitage appellation.
This white Hermitage, the Domaine des Tourettes 2014 celebrates the hallmark grape varieties of Hermitage, blending Marsanne (90%) and the Roussanne (10%).
The best granite soils of the region have been brought together, with grapes sourced from the parcels of Ermite, Sabot and Tourette, all of which enjoy excellent southern exposure.
In the glass, the white Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes 2014 presents a bright, pale yellow colour with green reflections. The nose seduces with the complex intensity of its olfactory palette. In its youth, the wine exudes delicate floral notes, supported by fresh citrus flavours. Over time, notes of candied fruit, apricot and peach appear, along with aromas of dried flowers. Ageing in oak lends a touch of vanilla to this wine as well. On the palate, the wine expresses great power and a dense, elegant structure. Concentrated but perfectly balanced, the aromatic development continues into a persistent finish, marked by the minerality of the terroir. A sumptuous Hermitage wine ready to be enjoyed now or kept until 2024.
