Ripe fruit, peach, melon, vanilla; soft palate, ample fruit, good acidity, nutty notes on the finish. Cohesive.

Earlier harvest to preserve acidity from this estate with gravel soils but thankfully cooler clays as well, resulting in an easy-going wine not without some warmth, but marked by ripe pear, peach, orange zest and lemon, more fruit forward than complex – and a pleasure to drink.

Honeysuckle, white peach, vanilla, pears, and gingery spice aromas pop in the nose. The palate serves up juicy citrus, white peach and sweet, vibrant pear notes with a creamy endnote. This will be a pleasure to enjoy on release. The wine blends 65% Sauvignon Blanc, and 35% Semillon. Drink from 2025-2030.

Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Delicate vanilla and pear, a hint of fresh mango, meadow herbs, some blossom honey. Full-bodied, subtle fruit, elegant with fine acidity, yellow tropical fruit on the finish, balanced with good ageing potential, a juicy food wine.

Rich and round in colour and texture, this is an impressive white with structure, spiced white pear and white pepper.

Score: 90–92. A basket of sweet citrus, with acidity and intense freshness. The herbal notes are well set. On the palate, the sweetness of white fruits, with a touch of bergamot and yuzu. The finish is gentle.

Complex and inviting, the bouquet of La Solitude reveals notes of biscuit, lemongrass, and white-fleshed fruit. The saline character on the attack underscores the wine’s freshness and temperament. It manages to combine breadth and liveliness and benefits from the precious support of fine bitters on the finish. A great success!
