Guigal's 2017 Crozes Hermitage Blanc delivers ample melon and pear aromas and flavors. It's medium to full-bodied, round and succulent, with just enough freshness to suggest it will drink well for the next couple of years. Hints of honey and dried spices linger on the finish.

95% Marsanne, 5% Roussanne. Aged for one year in 50% stainless steel, 25% old barrels and 25% new barrels. Salty-style nose. Medium body, neutral fruit and soft acidity. Rounded and balanced but aromatically indifferent. (RH)

Fresh peach, tangerine, buttered citrus and floral notes all emerge from the 2017 Crozes Hermitage Blanc, which is mostly Marsanne that had its malolactic fermentation blocked. It’s medium-bodied, nicely textured, and has juicy acidity, all making for a delicious and satisfying white that will be versatile on the table.

The fruit is fresh, with lovely tension on the palate; the blocked malo suits it well.

Compressed by sulfur, this wine offers little on the nose; the palate is thin and likewise constrained.

Light, bright straw-yellow. High-pitched aromas of orange zest, apple and honeysuckle, along with a subtle overlay of dusty minerals. Dry and focused on the palate, offering nicely concentrated citrus fruit and melon flavors that show very good clarity and floral lift. Finishes silky and long, with an echo of citrus pith and a lingering floral quality.
