The origin of the Lavaux Saint-Jacques cuvee name could come from the words "La Val". In the Middle-Ages, the term referred to a swale in the relief. This Burgundy wine comes from a Pinot Noir vineyard of less than 1 hectare.
The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques from Domaine Faiveley is a ruby-tinted deep red wine. The latter reveals an intense nose of small black fruits. Warm, strong and concentrated, this wine possesses a remarkable aromatic intensity. It offers persistent tannins and a pleasant finish on leather notes. It can be taste between 2024 and 2026.
