Ferraton Père & Fils : Les Miaux 2016

A powerful red wine from Hermitage

A Syrah red wine produced in the Hermitage appellation, the Hermitage "Les Miaux" of Ferraton Père & Fils benefits from a vineyard planted on clayey-limestone soils with sand and rounded pebbles on the surface, as well as terraces with round pebbles. The wine is aged in oak barrels, with 10% new barrels, for 12 to 14 months, depending on the vintage.

L'Hermitage "Les Miaux" 2016 of Ferraton Père & Fils displays a deep ruby colour. One can observe notes of black fruits (blackberries), spices and liquorice on the nose. The wine is meaty on the palate, showing power and offering silky tannins. One can also appreciate tasty touches of ripe berries, before a long and persistent finish.
