Description
Tasting notes for French Bloom's Cuvée Vintage Blanc de Blancs 2022
Tasting
Appearance
A beautiful intense gold colour tending towards old gold, enhanced by fine, elegant bubbles.
Nose
The nose reveals great complexity, evoking aged Blancs de Blancs, with a spectrum of aromas of caramelised nuts, candied fruits, dried spices, mocha and dried apricot. Notes of toasted bread, vanilla, brioche and tarte Tatin unfold, with a hint of aniseed on the finish.
Palate
A fresh attack precedes a full-bodied palate with a creamy texture. Aromas of mirabelle plum and marmalade intertwine through to a finish whose creamy texture and toasted notes deliver a complex and singular tasting experience.
Serving
We recommend enjoying this cuvée well chilled, between 2°C and 4°C, in a tulip flute.
An alcohol-free Blanc de Blancs brimming with complexity and elegance
The estate
French Bloom was born in 2019 from the friendship between Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger and Constance Jablonski, two women determined to create a festive alcohol-free beverage. They founded the brand to offer a certified organic alcohol-free sparkling wine. The name "French Bloom" reflects both French heritage and innovation. The brand's development was supported by experts from the wine industry, establishing French Bloom as a benchmark in alcohol-free sparkling wine.
The vineyard
The Chardonnay grapes come from organic vineyards located in the Languedoc. These vineyards benefit from an exceptional terroir with optimal exposure and varied soils that contribute to the aromatic richness of the wines produced. The harvest is carried out two weeks earlier than expected to preserve the freshness and acidity of the grapes.
Winemaking and aging
The majority of the grapes for this cuvée are aged in new 225-litre oak barrels, while a small portion is matured in stainless steel tanks for over 6 months. This ageing process is crucial in developing the wine's aromatic concentration and complexity.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
