Jean-Luc Colombo : Les Lauves 2015

Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - Red - 13° Jean-Luc Colombo Jean-Luc Colombo 2015 F899/15
  • Parker : 90
  • J. Robinson : 16

Les Lauves 2015 from Domaine Jean Luc Colombo is a Syrah single-grape wine. The latter grew on Saint-Joseph steep granitic terraces. This vintage displays a purple-tinted deep red colour. The 2015 Saint-Joseph Les Lauves offers a complex nose enhanced by violet and peppermint hints. On the palate, this vintage is very harmonious and has great fruity and spicy aromatic persistence. Its palate is structured and dense, carried by a good tannic structure. This wine has an 8 to 10 year ageing potential.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The deep ruby/purple-tinged 2015 St Joseph Les Lauves is a forward, medium to full-bodied, fresh, borderline sexy St Joseph that's loaded with notions of blackberry jam, cassis, hints of crushed rocks and pepper. I suspect it will be a smoking value and Northern Rhône lovers should buy a case for drinking over the coming 3-4 years (although I suspect it will keep longer as well).
