Jean-Luc Colombo : Vallon de l'Aigle 2009

This wine, only produced in excellent vintage (the previous release has been 2007) is made with grapes coming form one single parcel made of very old Syrah vines. The vineyard is surrounded by a forest of green oak and juniper where hawks happen to flight over. The colour is an outstanding deep red. The nose has dominating notes of pepper and violet. The palate is very intense and sophisticated with aromas of cassis and plum. The finish is long and silky.
