This Cote-Rotie fine wine comes from vertiginous steep hills on which any mechanical work is impossible. The 2008 M.Chapoutier Côte-Rotie La Mordoree red exhibits a ruby-tinted dark red colour. It gradually releases leather, tapenade, and black cherry fragrances. A good density is found on the palate. This wine is characterised by a beautiful elegance and power, the whole in perfect balance. The 2007 Cote-Rotie La Mordoree is one of the most prestigious M.Chapoutier cuvee.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Aromas of lilacs, crushed rocks, blue and red fruits and a gamy, earthy scent emerge from the dark ruby-hued, medium-bodied 2008 Cote Rotie La Mordoree (604 cases produced). It is complex aromatically, but seems to fall off on the palate. Nevertheless, it is a fine effort for a 2008. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
