Vinification and ageing
Vinification in small concrete tanks. Vatting time for almost one month. Exclusive use of the run-off wine. Aged for 14 to 18 months in oak barrels, a percentage of which are new.
The colour is a beautiful dark garnet.
The nose mixes fruity fragrances (red fruits, blackcurrant and raspberry) with delicious liquorice notes.
The palate is seduced by this wine’s density and powerful tannins. The finish is persistent with jammy and vanilla aromas.
Mr Chapoutier's 2020 Les Varonniers can be cellared until 2095.
