The vineyard
Monier de la Sizeranne 2018 is an Hermitage wine made from a blend of different vineyards, arranged from west to east: "Les Bessards," with granitic soil, "Le Méal," with its ancient alluvial terraces more or less chalky and rich in gravel and rolled pebbles, and "les Greffieux," with soil of silt and rolled pebbles.
Winemaking and ageing
The harvest, 100% destemmed, was vinified in concrete vats at regulated temperatures between 30 and 33°C. The cap was punched down once or twice a day. Aged for 18 months, 85% in oak barrels and 15% in concrete vats to preserve the minerality and freshness.
