The elegance and precision of a Côtes de Provence rosé wine
The estate
A haven for great figures since Antiquity, Château Miraval has hosted within its pastel pink walls Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples, and Jacques Loussier. In 1970, this French jazz pianist transformed the estate by installing a recording studio, welcoming many rock legends over the years. In 2008, the estate’s magic captivated Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who became its owners. They then undertook an ambitious modernization, rising to the challenge of establishing Château Miraval among the benchmarks of the finest rosés from Provence.
The vineyard
In the heart of the Var, the prestigious Château Miraval benefits from a remarkable terroir in the commune of Correns, the first organic village in France. This Côtes de Provence is crafted from the estate’s finest terroirs, complemented by a selection of grapes and wines mainly sourced from northern Provence. Planted at around 350 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils, the vineyard lends Miraval Rosé a subtle balance between acidity and minerality. Added to this is a cool climate, marked by significant temperature variations between day and night, ideal for refining ripeness and preserving precise balance.
Winemaking and aging
Harvested בעיקר early in the morning, the grapes are carefully sorted before destemming. Cinsault, Grenache, and Rolle are directly pressed, while Syrah is vinified using the saignée method. Vinification is carried out 95% in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and 5% in barrels, with bâtonnage.
Blend
Miraval Rosé 2025 is a blend of cinsault, grenache, rolle, and syrah.
