An IGP Méditerranée rosé marked by complexity and refinement

The estate

A source of inspiration since antiquity, Château Miraval has, over the centuries, welcomed remarkable figures such as Thomas Aquinas, the Prince of Naples, and musician Jacques Loussier. In 1970, this French jazz pianist brought new energy to the estate by creating a recording studio there, soon embraced by major rock legends.

In 2008, captivated by the atmosphere and artistic dimension of the site, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt acquired the property. They undertook an extensive renovation and succeeded in establishing Miraval among the essential references of the great rosés of Provence.

The vineyard

In the heart of the Var, in the village of Correns — the first organic village in France — Château Miraval benefits from a particularly remarkable terroir. Between a Mediterranean-influenced climate and saline soils lined with olive trees, Studio by Miraval, under IGP Méditerranée, asserts a unique identity, notably through a delicately saline finish.

The wine

Studio by Miraval echoes the estate’s musical history, paying tribute to the famous recording studio where Pink Floyd notably recorded the iconic album The Wall.

Vinification and aging

The harvest takes place early in the morning to preserve aromatic brightness and limit juice oxidation. The deliberately low-intervention winemaking is based on direct pressing of cinsault and tibouren, vinified in stainless steel tanks. Part of the grenache and rolle is worked in “tulip” concrete vats: their ovoid shape promotes the natural suspension of lees, bringing greater texture and complexity to the wine.
