Created in 1945, Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise is an appellation in the Rhône Valley that stretches over 470 hectares and is shared between the Beaumes-de-Venise and Aubignan communes. The vines enjoy a Mediterranean climate, along with the temperate Mistral wined due to the Dentelles de Montmirail Massif. They grow in sandy marl and clay-limestone soil. The Beaumes-de-Venise is a Muscat appellation, so only White and Black Muscat varieties are planted. They produce mostly white wines, as well as some rosés and reds. The Beaumes-de-Venise White Muscat wines have a golden colour. They develop very enveloping floral fragrances with astonishing aromas that include exotic fruit. The wines are also extremely long on the palate.
