Château Hermitage Saint-Martin

Hermitage Saint-Martin was created by Saint-Victor monks around the year 1000. The  property was abandoned  shortly after the Revolution, then completely destroyed during WWII. Enzo Fayard acquired and revived the estate in 1999. The 17-hectar property lays on highly pebbly, limestone-clay soils at the bottom of the rocky ledges in Cuers. Selected grape varieties benefit from ideal weather conditions (wind) and optimal sun exposure which minimize all risks of lacking maturation or Botrytis (noble rot).
